Every day, I see a new movie or TV show app on the internet. But, most of them are poorly designed and offer discouraging performance. This is why, I choose to stick to the more trusted apps. Tea TV is one such app you can always rely on for your entertainment needs. This app boasts of a huge catalogue of contents of all types including TV shows, movies, documentaries, and more. Tea TV on Firestick also has a professional looking, easy to use interface design.
This guide takes you through the installation steps of Tea TV on FireStick. This app has been customized to work on the larger screens and is very responsive to the FireStick remote. All in all, Tea TV, FireStick and your TV make up for a good team together. My experience with them has been more than satisfactory. I recommend you also give it a try.
SET UP FIRESTICK TO INSTALL TEA TV APP
Well, Firestick does not require any special setup to install Tea TV. But, like any other Android platform, Firestick too blocks third-party apps from installing. Therefore, to get Tea TV on FireStick, we need to allow such installations. Follow the steps below:
#1 Go to FireStick home-screen >> Settings tab. Navigate using the remote. Settings tab is on the top
#2 When you see the options in the Settings, go ahead and navigate to Device and click it
#3 Next, highlight and click Developer Options
#4 On the following window, you must see the item ‘Apps from unknown sources.’ You have to make sure it is turned on. If it is OFF, click it to turn it ON.
#5 This is the warning message you will see next, telling you about the risks of turning it ON. Don’t worry about it. Tea TV is s safe app.
Click ‘Turn on’ to proceed.
This ensures you can download Tea TV on Firestick. The next segment will help you with the installation steps.
STEPS TO INSTALL TEA TV ON FIRESTICK
As I already told you, Tea TV is a third-party app. This means it is not supported on Amazon Store. So, what we are going to do is download the Tea TV APK onto your device and then unpack it to install the app. This process is called side-loading.
Side loading is safe as long as you have the safe APK. I will provide you with the link to download the APK file in this guide. I have personally tested the link and assure you it is safe.
I am going to take you through two side-loading methods using the following two apps
- ES File Explorer
- Downloader
I personally like Downloader as far as side loading is concerned. But, I also like to have alternatives. ES File Explorer is also a good tool to side load the apps. Also, downloader app may not be available in all the regions.
Alright! Let’s get started.
Method 1: Install Tea TV on FireStick using ES File Explorer
Of course, you need to install the ES File Explorer app on FireStick first. If you don’t have it already, you can install it quickly from Amazon Store. Just select the search icon on the FireStick homescreen and look up for the app.
Once you have the app, follow the steps below to install Tea TV APK for Firestick.
Step 1: Open the ES File Explorer app from the Your Apps & Channels. Select and click ‘Tools’ on the left to expand it and reveal more options.
Click the first option ‘Download Manager’
Step 2: You must now see a small panel on the bottom right. On the leftmost of this panel, click ‘+New’
Step 3: Now, when you see the following pop-up dialogue box, here is what you need to do.
- Enter the following URL in the Path field:
Path: http://bit.ly/TTV6-3
- Enter any name in the Name field. I am going with ‘TEATV’
Note: To type in easily and quickly, use the Amazon Fire TV Remote App
Proceed by clicking ‘Download Now’
Step 4: Tea TV APK for FireStick will begin to download. It will take about 2-3 minutes to download the file. The progress will look like this:
Step 5: When the download is finished and the following dialogue box is displayed, click ‘Open file’ to continue
Step 6: Another dialogue box will be displayed. This time, click ‘Install’
Step 7: A full-screen confirmation window/prompt will now appear on the home-screen. At first, you will see the ‘Next’ option on the bottom right in place of ‘Install’. But, when you will scroll down by pressing the down button on the remote, it will change to ‘Install’
Go ahead and click the ‘Install’ option that’s on the bottom right
This will confirm your action and will install Tea TV on FireStick
Step 8: When the installation is concluded, this is the notification displayed.
If you want to run the app right off this prompt, go ahead and click ‘Open’. Else, hit ‘Done’ and return to the previous screen
Step 9: You may later press down the Home button on your FireStick remote for 3-4 seconds to bring up the following options.
Click ‘Apps’ to go to the list of all your apps (‘Your Apps & Channels’)
Step 10: Scroll down to the bottom where you will find the Tea TV app on FireStick.
If you would like to see the app on the home-screen of FireStick, move the Tea TV app icon to the top row. For this, select Tea TV icon and then press the Select key on your FireStick remote for about 2-3 seconds. Use the navigation buttons on the remote to move the icon to the top row. Press ‘Select’ to drop the icon there.
When you will return to the homescreen, you will find the Tea TV app icon there.
Additional Tip: Downloader app offers you to delete the APK file after the installation (we will see this later), but ES File Explorer does not. I recommend deleting the file. The app is installed. You don’t need it anymore. Deleting will free up some space.
To Delete the APK file, click and expand the ‘Local’ option on the left sidebar of the ES Explorer app. Now, click the ‘second’ Home option on the list of the options. You will see the list of the folders on the right. Click ‘Download’ folder and you will find the Tea TV APK icon there. Select the icon, then hold down the Select button on your remote. A small checkmark will appear on the top-left corner of the file. On the bottom, click ‘Delete’ to delete the file.
Method 2: Install Tea TV on FireStick Using Downloader
It goes without saying that Downloader app must be installed first on the device. Go ahead and install Downloader app on FireStick from the Amazon Store. Always enable JavaScript in the Downloader settings to avoid any hassles during the installation.
Follow the steps below to download Tea TV on FireStick
Step 1: Open Downloader app and click the Home tab on the left.
On the right, highlight the URL text field and press the select button on the Fire TV remote
Step 2: When the onscreen keypad is displayed, type in the following URL and then click ‘Go’

Note: Type using Amazon Fire TV Remote App for Android and iOS for more convenience
Step 3: Let the Downloader app download the Tea TV APK for FireStick.
It is small sized file and must not take long
Step 4: Click ‘Install’ on the following confirmation prompt to proceed
Step 5: Let FireStick complete the installation for you
Clicking Open button opens the app. But, that’s not what we want to do right now.
We will go back to Downloader app to delete the APK file first.
Click ‘Done’
Step 7: Click ‘Delete’ when you see the following prompt
Step 8: Click Delete one more time to confirm your intent to Delete the APK.
FireStick has limited storage and deleting the file is only sensible
Step 9: Like before, you can go to Your Apps & Channels segment to open Tea TV on FireStick. You may also move the app icon to the front row to make it appear on the main screen of the device.
CONCLUSION
You may use any of the two methods above to download Tea TV on FireStick. It usually takes 4-5 minutes to install the app. But, a great deal depends upon the speed of your internet connection. Tea TV is a promising entertainment app with a decent library of movies, shows and other videos.
